The Warren Civic Theatre, in cooperation with the City of Warren Department of Parks and Recreation and the Macomb Daily, is thrilled to present the beloved musical DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, live onstage. The play features a cast of over 190 professional and student theatre artists and showcases residents from across the metro area. It also features an orchestra consisting of selected members of the Warren Community Concert Band.

The classic Walt Disney animated film has been transformed into a Broadway musical that is an at-times rollicking, at times serious examination of the human heart , the capacity for love and a piercing look at how people view each other’s outer selves. The show stays true to the animated film yet provides a deeper look at issues that the film merely glances on. With the film’s favorite music, such as BE OUR GUEST, and the title song, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman (and new songs written for the stage by Menken and all-world lyricist Tim Rice), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST shines with the joys and sorrows of being human.

DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be presented on Friday, August 4th & 11th, Saturday, Aug. 5th & 12th (both at 8:00 p.m) with matinees on Sunday Aug. 6 & 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the air-conditioned Warren Woods Auditorium, located in the Warren Woods Middle School at 12 Mile Road and Schoenherr in Warren.

Reserved tickets are available for $10.00, $6.00 and $4.00. “Macomb Daily Kids Day” is Sunday, August 7th, when all advance-purchased tickets are discounted $2.00.
