Warren Civic Theatre Historical Timeline
About Greg Trzaskoma (Artistic Director/Founder)
1990 Started in summer as a children’s theatre workshop in the gym at Ridgewood Recreation Center with about a dozen kids.

1991-1993 Grew to encompass 60 kids
   
1994 Staged our first full-scale, Broadway style musical, THE KING AND I in the auditorium of the Warren Community Center. Utilized the talents of the kids, plus parents and adults from the community. Planned, rehearsed all summer, performed one night, then struck.

In the fall we offered children’s acting workshops on Saturdays leading up to holiday show.
   
1995 Planned, rehearsed all summer, performed one night, then struck musical OLIVER! in the Warren Woods Auditorium.
   
1996 performed 3 shows of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. 6 performances of THE UGLY DUCKLING children’s touring show.
   
1997- Performed 6 shows of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT at Warren Woods, and 6 performances of Shakespeare’s MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR at Wayne State University.

1998 6 performances of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Warren Woods.

1999 6 performances of THE MUSIC MAN. Hired our first professional Equity actor, John Manfredi, for this production.
